A personal message and thought-provoking words for 2022 from Daniel Hoile, Founder and CEO at Logixal
As we countdown to 2022 and we start making plans for the coming year…here’s a personal message and thought-provoking words from Daniel Hoile, Founder and CEO at Logixal. He shares his extraordinary, personal journey and inspirational insights and thoughts on the importance of positivity and mental strength for personal health, success, and well-being:
“Having been told I had a tumour in my spine, the size of your forefinger, and that had to have a microscopic spinal operation for approximately five hours — was a monumental amount of stress to endure.  Not knowing if it was benign or cancerous. I would like to share my journey since that day…
+ 4 months post spine operation
I was feeling great and fully recovering, but then had to have another major operation to have my right hip fully replaced.
+ 6 months post spine operation
I caught Covid, I was ill for two weeks with no taste or smell. I lost over a stone in two weeks. I went from being 14st 5Ibs pre-covid to 13st 4lbs post-covid (I felt amazing by the way losing all that weight).
+ 11 months post spine operation
I went in for another major operation, to have my left hip fully replaced. My second full hip replacement.
+ 13 months post spine operation
Two months after having my left hip replacement, I caught Covid again. Not as bad as the first time, I would say it was only 40% of what I experienced the first time. I fully recovered after five to seven days.
In 13 months, I have had one major spine operation, two fully replaced hips and caught Covid twice. To make it clear, I did not have any of my treatments or my strains on the NHS, whatsoever during these very stressful times during the pandemic. I did this while running the business through a pandemic, trying to keep the business afloat and operational, trying to strategically support all employees within the business, to ensure no one lost their jobs. Yes, it has been a very tough 12-18 months.
Thank God my tumour was benign.
Thank God I have an incredible wife who supports me and catches me when I fall.
Thank God I have such a beautiful family who loves and supports me making life worthwhile
To say I am very lucky, is an understatement…
Now, through gym training I can achieve with the seated leg press - pushing 200KGs and growing …I can now leg squat 100kgs, doing 10 x reps / 3 x sets and growing, and weighing in at 15st, but they say muscle weighs heavier than fat … right… working on reducing this weight…
I never want sympathy, I never want attention, nor do I want a fuss made. No one knows this, and I have put this out there as it is tough for so many people struggling with mental health issues, as it is hugely personal, and why should anyone, but, if you are down, low and depressed —just try and draw inspiration and strength from other positive people in your life where you can.
No one knows what anyone of us goes through, I passionately believe in the importance of being surrounded by strong people, like-minded people, people who are positive, and not being around miserable people that drain you mentally, people that are so miserable - the naysayers, the ones that breath negativity— get these people out of your life for the new year of 2022.
This has been my resolution every day, every week, every month and every year. I encourage you to make this your new year resolution for 2022.
Positivity + Mental Strength + Negativity out of your life = Achieve anything”
